seriously, this picture makes me want to cry. where were all these pictures taken? i would LOVE to visit there sometime.

Bulgaria, the most beautiful and diverse country in the world :D

wow.
srsly.
wow.

that's one of the most amazing pics I have ever seen.

This is so beautiful!! I love this picture!

the water is probably copper/brown colored from pollution.

Just set it as my desktop background.
I like to photograph stone arch bridges
and this one is magnificent.

Through the eyes of a photographer, we

are permitted to see sights we would never

see otherwise. This picture is so beautiful.

Thank you for sharing!

Don't you notice how high in the mountains this is? There is no pollution, just muddy water.

It's not so high. I just shoot this photo minutes after sunrise and there was a fog.

some bridges are very photogenic and that picture is very nice in my opinion. I like the reflection in the perfectly still water, and the fog gives a feeling of tranquility. Well done !

kela.............ki chaliya photo bey........nokli jen ligise.......

You are an artist with a camera. Wonderful pictures.

I just love this picture...it is almost unreal...for some reason I associate this with Bohun and Helena

yes a very nice wallpaper

Very nice photo. You have talent.

Its very rich & beautiful Picture dear !!

You certainly have an eye for composition. The colors, the lines and the contrasts make this a wonderful composition. Well done.

owned an art gallery in a metro area. very nice work.

Or, the water could be discolored by a high natural mineral content. Or, it could be a hazy day (look at the sky). Next time, Dave, don't be such a cynic. It is a beautiful picture.

Lovely Picture!

Its the Chernobil poluted water of Danube..

The water color is most likely due to tannins from the leaves of trees near the stream: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tannins

It is very unlikely the colour of the water is due to pollution from Chernobyl as the fallout of the reactor destruction was mainly carried north to Baltic sea...very little was ever carried southwards to Danube, atleast not enaugh to change a rivers colour to brown

Oh and I absolutely love the picture

Why is it called Devil's Bridge?

I have no idea. Look at Wikipedia for answer.

This is an outstanding landscape image to be congradulated!

The brown color most likely comes from the leaves that have fallen from the deciduous trees. There is a chemical pigment within leaves called tannin which is brown that is absorbed into the water as the fallen leaves break down and deteriorate. The other chemical pigments such as xanthophyll,(yellow) carotene,(orange) and anthocyanin,(red) when combined lead to a brown color.

its not muddy its reflective thats why it seems muddy fog and brown trees.

Such a peacefulness enters my heart when I see this picture. Thank you photographer for sharing this.

Nice!
Thanks for sharing!!

Its breath taking... Do you know anything about the history of this bridge? when was it built?

It is not certain when the bridge was built, with various sources stating from the 14th to the early 17th century.

wikipedia is not as reliable as people may think as a fact gathering source. the reason is that anyone can edit the information on it.

just made this pic on desktop background
awesome pic thanks!

Evengi your picture is getting famous now.
It is going around in an email attachment along with a bunch of other great pictures.
And I am curious, who is that standing in the small arch on the left?

Absolutely stunning!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know how u guys do this but I love the end product! They get to you. Don't stop please.

It's a great photo, it emanates a very surreal, apocalyptic vibe. I'd like to visit the country side of Bulgaria and other eastern european countries some day.

The picture of the bridge is great-i like it.
